The midweek UFC “Fight Island” card has its headliner, as Calvin Kattar will square off against Dan Ige in a featherweight bout on July 15.
ESPN was first to report the pairing. The event will be held at Yas Island in Abu Dhabi and is also expected to include a women’s strawweight clash pitting Carla Esparza against Marina Rodriguez.
Kattar has been victorious in five of his seven UFC appearances. “The Boston Strangler” is coming off a vicious knockout of Jeremy Stephens at UFC 249 on May 9.
