Cain Velasquez’ UFC comeback didn’t quite go as planned.
After spending almost three years on the sidelines due to recurring injuries, the former two-time heavyweight champion returned to the Octagon only to be knocked out in just 26 seconds against the heavy hitting Francis Ngannou at UFC on ESPN 1.
To make matters worse, the American Kickboxing Academy product appeared to awkwardly twist his knee during Ngannou’s finishing sequence.
Despite this unfortunate turn of events, Velasquez still seems to be in high spirits and is thankful for the love and support of his fans.
The 36-year-old was all smiles with his family in a recent Instagram post.
