Vanessa Porto’s move to Bellator MMA opened the door for those behind her in the Invicta Fighting Championships pecking order at 125 pounds.
Karina Rodriguez and Daiana Torquato will face one another for the vacant flyweight title and the right to fill Porto’s shoes in the Invicta 44 main event on Friday at the Police Athletic League in Kansas City, Kansas. Operating out of the Lobo Gym camp in her native Mexico, Rodriguez has posted five wins across her past seven outings. She last appeared at Invicta 38, where she dropped a unanimous decision to the aforementioned Porto on Nov.
