Brian Ortega releases statement, reveals multiple injuries suffered in UFC 231 main event

Brian Ortega broke his silence after a gritty battle against UFC featherweight champion Max Holloway in the UFC 231 event Saturday night in Toronto.

Ortega, who agreed with the doctor’s stoppage in the Instagram post, says he broke his thumb and his nose against Holloway in a statement released Sunday night. Check it out below.

Doctor stopped it and I agree. Broken nose and a broken thumb I was willing to die in there. Last night was Max’s night. I’ll be back. Thank you to everyone who’s always believed in me and supported me.
