Brendan Loughnane backs Dominick Cruz to shine against ‘shorter guy’ Henry Cejudo

PFL featherweight Brendan Loughnane has spent an uncountable number of rounds sparring with training partner Dominick Cruz, and despite many feeling as though Cruz’s championship shot has come from left field, the Englishman believes a win for Cruz is “written in the stars.”

Loughnane praised Cruz as being “inspirational” due to his ability to overcome injuries and based on his successful dethroning of T.J. Dillashaw in 2016, he thinks the former bantamweight champion is more than capable of defeating Henry Cejudo on May 9.

“What a story - this man has been to hell and back,” Loughnane told MMA Fighting’s Eurobash podcast.
