B.J. Penn to be inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame

During the UFC 187 preliminary card broadcast on Fox Sports 1, the fourth and final announcement for this year's UFC Hall of Fame.  B.J. Penn (16-10-2) will enter the revamped HOF under the Modern wing, reserved for fighters who made their after UFC 28 (11/17/2000), when the Unified Rules of MMA were used.

"The Prodigy" retired from competition last year following a 3rd round TKO loss to rival Frankie Edgar in a featherweight contest. In his prime, Penn captured the UFC welterweight belt by famously submitting Matt Hughes in 2004, and later won the lightweight belt in 2008.
