Bellator lightweight Benson Henderson announced via social media early this morning that he has been forced to withdraw from his rematch with Michael Chandler. That bout had been scheduled for the co-main event at Bellator Japan on December 29th.
“I just wanted to take the time to apologize and say that I got an injury and I will not be able to participate in the Dec. 29 festivities in Japan, so I won’t make it out there,” said Henderson (h/t Alexander K. Lee of MMAFighting). “I got hurt, I got an injury and I can’t fight, so I’m sorry.
