Bellator MMA on Monday announced the signing of one of the hottest prospects out of the collegiate wrestling world, Ed Ruth. The decorated wrestler has signed an exclusive, multi-fight deal with the fight promotion.
The 25-year-old is currently focused on the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, but will make the move to mixed martial arts after he finishes his Olympic bid.
“I’ve known for a long time now that after I get Olympic gold around my neck, I was going to go get some MMA gold for my waist,” said Ruth.
