The GLORY portion of Bellator: Dynamite 1 kicked off with a first ever women's kickboxing bout for GLORY, featuring Keri Melendez and Hadley Griffith. Griffith was making her pro kickboxing debut and was a heavy underdog against the wife of UFC star Gilbert Melendez.
Melendez battered Griffith through a good portion of round 1, going forward with a series of punches, knees, and kicks. Griffith was bloodied in the opening round. A body kick hurt Griffith in the 2nd round and Melendez attacked with knees from the clinch. Griffith struggled with Melendez's movement and, well, anything that involved strikes.
