There will be no double champ in Bellator, at least not yet. Gegard Mousasi has seen to that.
On Saturday night, at Bellator 206 in the SAP Center in San Jose, California, Mousasi mauled welterweight kingpin Rory MacDonald to retain his middleweight title with a second-round TKO victory. The win capped off one of Bellator’s best cards in recent memory, including a co-main event tetralogy fight between Quinton Jackson and Wanderlei Silva that was more entertaining than it had any right to be considering the age of the two combatants.
