An explosive matchup between streaking welterweights Belal Muhammad and Elizeu Zaleski has been verbally agreed to for September 22 at UFC Sao Paulo.
MMA Fighting confirmed the news Thursday following an initial report by Brazilian outlet AG Fight. Contracts for the bout have yet to be formally signed.
Muhammad (14-2) is in the midst of the best run of his UFC career. The 30-year-old Roufusport product has won four straight fights, a streak highlighted by victories over Tim Means, Jordan Mein, and Dana White Lookin’ For a Fight alum Randy Brown.
