Conor McGregor’s recent callout of reigning UFC welterweight champ Kamaru Usman shows just how desperate the Irishman is to generate some clicks and stay relevant, according to No. 1-ranked welterweight contender Colby Covington.
Covington claims McGregor is the new ‘laughingstock’ of the MMA community and that the former UFC two-division champion is ‘washed up’ following his TKO loss to Dustin Poirier at UFC 257.
“I haven’t seen it, but I’ve heard about it and that’s obviously just Conor trying to get some hype, get some headlines,” Covington said on a recent episode of What the Heck.
