We could’ve had a super showdown between IBF heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua (17-0, 17 KOs) and former WBA/IBF/WBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko (64-4, 54 KOs) this very weekend, but as has been the theme for boxing in 2016, we can’t have nice things. The WBA waffled about as far as sanctioning Joshua vs. Klitschko as a title fight, and then by the time they actually did so, Klitschko had already backed out of the December 10th date due to injury.
For those of you disappointed that Joshua-Klitschko isn’t happening this year, there’s a light at the end of the tunnel!
