Andrew Tackett looks like he plans to stick around for a while.

The Syndicate MMA rep took care of Elijah Dorsey with a heel hook and retained his welterweight crown in the first round of their UFC BJJ 4 headliner on Thursday at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas. Dorsey conceded defeat 2:21 into Round 1.

Tackett fought through an attempted guillotine choke, assumed top position and proceeded to play a brief game of dueling leg locks with the Lloyd Irvin disciple. He lured Dorsey deeper into his trap, found the desired bite on the heel hook and applied the necessary leverage to force the tapout.
