Andrew Sanchez vs. Wellington Turman added to Aug. 8 UFC show

“El Dirte,” who saw his middleweight bout opposite Zak Cummings fell through after the UFC cancelled a series of events in April due to the COVID-19 outbreak, is now booked to meet Brazil’s Wellington Turman on Aug. 8.

Multiple sources confirmed the matchup to MMA Fighting. Combate first reported the news.

Sanchez (11-5) racked up a 3-3 record since winning the 23rd season of The Ultimate Fighter in 2016, including a trio of decision victories over Trevor Smith, Markus Perez and Marc-Andre Barriault.

The Tristar Gym talent, a former RFA middleweight titleholder who won the TUF trophy with a victory over Khalil Rountree, entered the octagon the last time in October, losing a decision to rising Italian middleweight Marvin Vettori.
