Welcome to another edition of Goin’ Old School. We last left off in April of 1983, before we get into Mid-South, let’s see what the world was up to between then and October. There is a lot of stuff on here, I took many a news facts from wikipedia.
- May 17 – Lebanon, Israel, and the United States sign an agreement on Israeli withdrawal from Lebanon.
- June 9 – Britain’s Conservative government, led by Margaret Thatcher, is re-elected by a landslide majority
- July 15 Nintendo‘s Family Computer, also known as the Famicom, goes on sale in Japan.
