Amanda Nunes plans to ‘keep making history,’ will defend 145-pound title after defending bantamweight title vs. Holly Holm

UFC women’s double champ Amanda Nunes will look to become the second UFC fighter to defend both her belts, as ‘The Lioness’ revealed at a recent press conference that she plans on returning to 145-pounds to defend the featherweight strap once she defends her bantamweight title against Holly Holm at UFC 239.

Nunes, who holds wins over the likes of Ronda Rousey and Cris Cyborg, said she plans to ‘keep making history’ by ruling both the bantamweight and featherweight thrones.

“For sure (I plan to) defend both,” Nunes told reporters at the recent UFC seasonal press conference during UFC 236 fight week in Atlanta, Georgia (via MMA Junkie).
