Alvarez Admits to being coy in negotiations with Jake Paul

Related Topics: Canelo Álvarez, Jake Paul

As reported by Athlon Sports, Canelo Alvarez has signed a multi-fight deal. He was in fight negotiations with Jake Paul in Saudi Arabia instead of a bout with William Scull for the middleweight championship on May 3.

Canelo is currently in preparation for his upcoming defense of his WBO, WBA, and WBC super-middleweight belts against IBF champion William Scull.

Scull competes in the same division.

Canelo is not interested in fighting Scull, but he has decided to proceed with the bout anyway.

Alcarez has a record of 62-2-2 and 39 KOs. Since Erislandy Lara in 2014, this will be Canelo’s first fight out of the country with an opponent from Cuba.
