The UFC is returning to Russia.
On Friday morning, officials announced the promotion will host its first event in St. Petersburg, Russia, on April 20 inside the Yubileyny Sports Complex. This marks the second UFC fight card to touch down in Russia following UFC Moscow in September 2018.
In the night’s main event, fans will witness a heavyweight tilt between former champions in Alexander Volkov vs. Alistair Overeem.
Volkov (30-7), a former Bellator champion, is looking to right the ship after coming out on the wrong end of a highlight-reel finish at the hands of Derrick Lewis in October.
