Tom Duquesnoy entered the Ultimate Fighting Championship as a prospect with a considerable amount of hype behind him. After three appearances with the Las Vegas-based promotion, “Fire Kid” is calling it a career.
The 25-year-old Frenchman, who turns 26 next month, announced his decision via Instagram on Sunday.
“Today I decide to go on a different path that attracts me a lot more and that takes me a big part of my energy. My new activities are such that I cannot be fully devoted to high level training,” Duquesnoy wrote. “I respect that sport too well to engage in [it half-heartedly] and that is why I am at a crossroads where it is essential for me to focus on what [I am most passionate about].
