Nothing stalls progress like injuries and inactivity. Ask Mayra Bueno Silva, a woman who missed all of 2019 and has yet to compete more than twice in a calendar year.
Silva will once again try to put her best foot forward in the Ultimate Fighting Championship women’s bantamweight division when she collides with Stephanie Egger as part of the UFC on ESPN 40 undercard this Saturday at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas. The 30-year-old Brazilian believes she has addressed the issues that have long plagued her.
“Thankfully, all those problems have been resolved,” Silva told Sherdog.
