A fight between two top flyweights is in the works for UFC 229 on October 6th, as former title challengers Joseph Benavidez and Ray Borg are slated to meet on the card.
MMA Nytt first reported the potential matchup on Monday, however the UFC is yet to announce the fight as official. There is some confusion to how Borg, 25, will appear on the card, as one half of the card’s headliner, Conor McGregor, is not allowed to be near Borg until July 2020 as a part of his plea deal following his attack on bus in April.
