Mayweather vs. Pacquiao Preview & Prediction

Floyd Mayweather (47-0, 26 knockouts) and Manny Pacquiao (57-5-2, 38 KOs) are finally fighting each other in a match that's almost a decade in the making.

Mayweather’s WBC and WBA Super world welterweight titles are on the line, as is Pacquiao’s WBO world welterweight title.

The fight will start at approximately 11:30 p.m. Eastern time, though the pay-per-view broadcast starts at 9:00 p.m. ET.

Where: MGM Grand Garden Arena, Las Vegas

Broadcast info: Showtime and HBO pay-per-view

Prediction: Mayweather wins in split decision

Mayweather has been able to dictate every fight he's been in because of his elite defensive skill, and that style lends itself to extremely long bouts. Pacquiao, on the other hand, is looking for the knockout at all times, and often comes out aggressively swinging from start to finish.

That contrast of styles will make for an intriguing fight, but Mayweather's technical and defensive supremacy will ultimately win out on the scorecards - lending itself to a rematch.
