The San Jose Earthquakes announced earlier this week that they would be acquiring midfielder Darwin Ceren from Orlando City SC in exchange for Matias Perez Garcia. Ceren appeared in 16 matches this season for Orlando and started in 14 of those matches.
Midfield didn’t seem like a position San Jose needed to add to as they have had much bigger problems in the attack but a player like Ceren could be a solid pick up for the Earthquakes. San Jose has gone with Fatai Alashe and Anibal Godoy as the two center midfielders this season but with the teams new addition you could see them possibly rotate the center midfield position among the three players.
