The San Jose Earthquakes will take on the New England Revolution Wednesday with an opportunity to jump ahead of the Portland Timbers and take hold of the sixth spot in the Western Conference standings.
The Earthquakes had an opportunity to do so against the Dynamo this past Friday but blew their chance so this game is critical for San Jose when you take into account that the Seattle Sounders are now back in the race after winning their last three matches. Seattle sits only one point behind San Jose and two behind Portland in the standings.
San Jose’s match against the Revolution will take place at Avaya Stadium.
