After a disappointing road loss to the Houston Dynamo, the Seattle Sounders traveled to Montreal to take on the Impact. Once again, though, Seattle gave up two goals before they could find the back of the net. Ignacio Piatti worked some magic, playing though Matteo Mancosu for the first goal and then going on an incredible solo run in the 51st-minute to put the Impact 2-0 up.
Seattle showed no promise of ever coming back into the game until Laurent Ciman fouled Oniel Fisher in the box, allowing Nicolas Lodeiro to step up and convert the penalty to put Seattle within 1:
