USWNT Vs Mexico: A nice pretty bow on World Cup preparations

The United States Women’s National Team won 3-0 against Mexico in the final match of the Send-Off series before heading off to France for the 2019 World Cup. The Stars and Stripes played in front of 26, 332 fans on a scorching summer day.

Tobin Heath opened up the scoring after 11 minutes in front of her home crowd. Heath’s goal came from an errant pass from the goalkeeper inside the box which she pounced on and made no mistake with the opportunity. This was her 30th international goal.

At half-time,the possession stats were near even with the USWNT at 51% and Mexico at 49% but that was far from the narrative of the game.
