World Cup success requires both talent and luck. It appears the USMNT has luck on its side with one of the most favorable draws for the group stage of the 2026 World Cup. With Mauricio Pochettino looking on during Friday's draw, the Americans were drawn into a group with Paraguay, Australia, and a still-to-be-determined European side.
The USMNT was able to avoid any nightmare scenarios for the draw, and instead, was placed into a group that it should be favored to win. Of course, the USMNT still has to perform, but the opportunity is undoubtedly there for the Americans to hit the ground running in the group stage and set themselves up for success in the knockout stage.
