The U.S. Men’s National Team continued the Gregg Berhalter era on Thursday night in the first of two friendlies during the March international break. Hosting Ecuador at Orlando City Stadium, the USMNT controlled the match and eventually ground out a 1-0 victory.
Gyasi Zardes, somehow, scored the 80th-minute winner, his shot deflecting up and over the stranded goalkeeper, who should have tipped the ball over the crossbar but failed miserably, and the Berhalter reign continues its perfect start with three wins from three.
