USMNT abroad: Goals all around – McKennie, Gall, Wood, and more

The week before the next international break provided some encouraging news as well as some disappointment leading up to the United States Men’s National Team’s next set of matches.

Weston McKennie led the way for the USMNT players in Europe this week. On Wednesday, the midfielder scored the match-winner for Schalke against Lokomotiv Moscow. The goal came in the 88th minute off of a corner kick.

And then at the weekend, McKennie was on the mark for Schalke against Dusseldorf. The goal marked his first career tally in the Bundesliga.

After leaving the match with an injury, McKennie was subsequently ruled out of the USMNT’s friendly matches to come this week.
