Following a disappointing 2-1 loss to Ukraine on Friday, the United States Men’s U-20 National Team were under extreme pressure to get a result against Nigeria. A loss would have likely doomed their hopes of reaching the knockout rounds and sent them home early from the U-20 World Cup in Poland.
Despite being under pressure, the USA U20 team appeared to be unphased by the task at hand and put together an impressive display to take all three points. Sebastian Soto was the Man of the Match for the Americans as he recorded a brace to lead the way.
