U.S U-20 Claims CONCACAF U-20 Title

After a scoreless 90 minutes of play, the CONCACAF U-20 Championship game went to penalty kicks to decide the champion. The shootout went to the fifth round as Danny Acosta successful converted his attempt to win the U.S their first ever title at the competition.

In the first half, the U.S looked the better side as two big opportunities came their way. The first came in the ninth minute when Justen Glad’s header was saved well by Honduras goalkeeper Javier Delgado. The Honduran goalkeeper would make another fantastic save in the 27th minute when Brooks Lennon unleashed a powerful shot off of a free kick.
