After earning their first win of the season last weekend against the Columbus Crew, the Portland Timbers overcame Toronto FC at BMO field with a textbook counter-attacking performance. They defended stoutly, broke with speed and precision, and recorded three more precious points.
Toronto went one goal to the good thanks to a scrappy Jonathan Osorio finish from a freekick, but they found other chances to create throughout. Portland equalised with a phenomenal Bill Tuiloma volley before Jeremy Ebobisse wrapped up the victory in the second half.
