Stars and Stripes FC reported that for the first time since 2011, Michael Bradley was subbed out from a competitive match last week in the third place game against Colombia. It turns out this substitution was because he sprained his knee. This injury is assumed to come from a tackle he was involved with at the beginning of that game, even though he played until Darlington Nagbe came in for him in the 79th minute.
This isn’t the only bad news for Toronto FC fans. Canadian international and now Toronto FC hero, after he scored the winning goal in the last breath of the Canadian Championship final on Wednesday, Wil Johnson is also out for six weeks but with a tibial plateau fracture.
