Each summer a host of European giants visit the U.S. as part of their pre-season tour and to take part in the International Champions Cup (ICC). With both Barcelona and Real Madrid taking part in the Cup each summer, there is a chance fans could see the El Classico in Miami in 2017.
Let’s not forget that outside of pre-season fitness, the ICC primarily serves as a marketing tool for these massive clubs looking to secure more of the American fan base and advertising revenue. Either way though it gives the soccer community in the U.S. a chance to see some of the world’s biggest stars.
