Sylvester Stallone has recently been honored by the Kennedy Center for his film work. He may be known for his sports character, Rocky, from the franchise he popularized. He played the character in eight films.
However, there was another sports movie that is a hidden gem. It is the soccer film, Escape to Victory or Victory, released in 1981. The film starred Stallone alongside Michael Caine and Max Von Sydow (The Force Awakens).
The film was directed by Oscar-winning John Huston. Huston himself was a veteran of World War II and served during the period in the 1940s.
