Before their last match against the Vancouver Whitecaps, the LA Galaxy were on a seven game winless streak where they had five draws and two losses. The run of bad outings seemed like it would never end, until England international, Steven Gerrard, came through to spark the team’s offense.
Gerrard has recently been moved to more of an attacking midfielder’s role under head coach, Bruce Arena, over the past few matches. This change has jump started the team’s offense and has led LA to their first win in over a month. His attacking role has allowed him to use his talents and skills to create for his teammates.
