After making the playoff for seven straight years with the Sounders, Sigi Schmidt got sacked because of a terrible half season of performances, that saw the Sounders grab 12 losses out of their first 20 games. In an interview with the Seattle Times, Schmid opened up about his frustrations with the Sounders front office.
Somebody made a comment to me within the organization that ‘we’re changing our philosophy here where it’s not about being consistent, it’s about putting all of our effort into winning the Cup. I’m going: ‘So how does that work?
