After missing out on three points last weekend in a 3-2 loss to the Whitecaps on the road, RSL return home to take on the second place Portland Timbers. Real will need to get points in this one to keep their playoff hopes alive.
The Attack
Luis Silva finally stopped his goal scoring streak against Vancouver, and the three headed monster behind him in Albert Rusnák, Jefferson Savarino, and Joao Plata weren’t able to ripple the net either. In fact both goals came from the fullbacks in Chris Wingert and Tony Beltran (who scored his first MLS goal).
