Real Salt Lake Midfielder Javier Morales is Leaving the Club After 10 Years

Longtime Major League Soccer player, Javier Morales, made a shocking announcement via Twitter that he would be leaving Real Salt Lake. His announcement never mentioned retirement so it is unclear if he will continue his playing career elsewhere. At 36-years of age, he is nearing the end of his career.

Morales was signed by RSL in 2007 and he has been with the club ever since. The midfielder was a name stay in the team’s Starting XI and was a great person and locker room presence as well. He was a three-time all-star in Major League Soccer and is Real Salt Lake’s all-time leader in assists with 81.
