Real Salt Lake made the playoffs in 2019 with a third-place finish in the Western Conference, overhauling Minnesota United on the final day of the season to move into the top three.
They then defeated the Portland Timbers at home thanks to a late strike from Jefferson Savarino, before losing to Seattle as they bowed out at the Conference semifinal stage for the second consecutive year.
For the third straight year, they failed to advance past the fourth round of the US Open Cup, for the 2009 MLS Cup Champions, it has been a good season.
