It was a tale of two halves for Real Salt Lake in their controversial match-up against the Los Angeles Galaxy. Following a strong start, RSL captain Kyle Beckerman accumulated two yellow cards in the span of ten minutes, forcing Real to play the entire second half a man down.
Galaxy took advantage, as French newcomer, Romain Alessandrini found David Romney and Emmanuel Boateng within five minutes of each other. Bringing the tilt to their favor 2-1.
