The Portland Timbers continued their offensive on the sharp end of the Western Conference with a consummate 2-0 victory over the lowly Colorado Rapids on Saturday night.
It was an excellent performance in a match that they were expected to win and now puts them in a good position to both make the playoffs and make a run for the MLS Cup in the postseason.
