This past Friday, Nat Borchers announced his retirement from the game of soccer. The Tuscon native has decided to end his career after spending 14 years in the game.
Borchers has played for the Colorado Rapids, Real Salt Lake, Portland Timbers, and Norwegian club, Odd Grenland. In total, Borchers made 340 appearances in the MLS, as well as logging over 30,000 minutes. In face he ends his career as only one in six field players in the MLS to play over 30,000 minutes.
In the playoffs, Borchers appeared 29 times, logging 2,754 minutes.He won two MLS Cup titles, one in 2009 with Real Salt Lake and the other with the Timbers in 2015.
