The Philadlephia Union entered Major League Soccer in 2010. They have not made the playoffs in over five years. The Union have not the best success in the league over the years but this season has been different. Philadelphia is third in the Eastern Conference with a game at hand.

Jim Curtin has brought a team that finished 9th in the Eastern Conference last year, almost to the top. C.J Sapong has been a great offensive threat so far this season. He has scored five goals in the first ten games. The acquisition of Chris Pontius, could be considered to be the move of the year.
