A day after signing their first player from the Orlando B side, the club appear to be on the verge of getting a familiar defender to US national team fans. Reports indicate that Orlando City are finalizing a deal with transferring Jonathan Spector from Birmingham City.
The MLS website and FourFourTwo indicated that the move is basically complete, which should allow the club to announce it this coming week. This would be his first stint in the MLS as a senior team player after being in the Chicago Fire youth academy.
Spector started his career as a talented striker, featuring prominently with the U-17 national team before, making a big move to Manchester United in 2003.
