According to Anthony Totera of the Red Card Radio show, Cyle Larin is being linked with a transfer to Benfica. Totera tweeted that “Just been told Orlando city and CMNT player Cyle Larin is being pursued by Benfica #MLS #Canada.” Multiple sources picked up the rumor and have valued the move to be around $10 million.
The 21-year old forward was Major League Soccer’s rookie of the year award winner last season. The Portuguese club, Benfica, is one of the top teams in the Primeira Liga as they won the league title this past season. They are also regulars in the UEFA Champions League tournament.
