Well, it’s time to say goodbye to another NYCFC alumni as forward Patrick Mullins was traded to D.C. United. According to the Washington Post, United gave away allocation money along with NYCFC’s main target, an international spot.
If the trade is completed and all goes well, NYCFC will have 13 spots, leaving one open for the recently signed Maxime Chanot. The Luxembourg defender completed all his paper work and was only waiting for the green light to play, which was an open international spot.
With Mullins gone, NYCFC’s lone striker at the moment is club captain David Villa, who has no problem taking up the spot for the entire season.
