As we all know, NYCFC is really big on it’s player development and is always looking to expand. On Thursday while a blizzard hit the Tri-State area, NYCFC went down south and struck a deal with San Antonio F.C.
The USL side, who finished 10th in the Western Conference with a record 10-12-8, now has a partnership with the boys in blue. On the club’s official site, Claudio Reyna seemed pretty excited about the deal and the expansion.
We’re happy to announce our affiliation with San Antonio FC. This will be an important affiliation for NYCFC with an ambitious, forward-thinking club like San Antonio FC which shares our drive to grow the game within their own passionate soccer community
NYCFC had a previous agreement with the Wilmington Hammerheads for one-year and we even saw goalkeeper Andre Rawls spend some time down there.
