The departure of England star Frank Lampard left a hole that needed to be filled. NYCFC scoured many leagues around the world and appear to have landed on their next Designated Player Maxi Moralez.
According to ESPN Digital reporter Julio Saucedo, NYCFC are close to landing Argentine winger/midfielder Maxi Moralez. He is an attacking midfielder who is very creative and should link up well with 2016 MVP David Villa.
